Relevant experiences

Strong professional experience with Python in production environments.

Experience or solid understanding of asynchronous, network, or distributed systems.

Comfort working in Linux‑based development environments.

Quality‑driven mindset with experience in unit, integration, and system testing.

Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English, including discussing complex technical topics.

Willingness to work primarily from the Reading office in an office‑first setup.

Nice to Have

Exposure to or interest in systems programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust.

Experience with client/server architectures and real‑time or media‑heavy systems.

Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V).

Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Background in building vendor products rather than consultancy or outsourcing projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field is preferred but not a hard requirement.

Equivalent practical experience and a strong technical track record are fully valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborate with a talented, diverse engineering team to design, build, and deliver innovative solutions.
Contribute to distributed, real‑time systems used by hundreds of thousands of users globally.
Work primarily in Python, contributing to a large, production‑critical codebase.
Learn and gradually work with systems‑level languages such as C, C++, or Rust within the media stack.
Design, implement, and maintain reliable, testable, and high‑quality software.
Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and problem‑solving sessions.
